DESCRIPTION:USSF D License Course hosted by Nevada Youth Soccer Association\nVirtual Start – October 15\, 2023\nIn-Person Meeting #1 – November 11-12\nIn-Person Meeting #2 – December 2-3\nCourse Details:\nThe National D License is an online and in-person course\, that begins in October 2023 with an online experience and two in-person meetings. \nCoaches who register for this course can expect weekly learning opportunities that will feature a mixture of independent learning using online modules and live virtual meetings led by a licensed U.S. Soccer Instructor. Coaches will be asked to participate in discussions so each person should have access to the internet and a web-camera/live video capabilities. The virtual meetings will take place on agreed upon days and times (see below). Coaches may be asked to participate in the field component as either coaches or players\, so please come prepared to actively learn. \nCandidates that register for this course are expected to attend all classroom webinars and course meetings to be eligible to receive the license. \n  \nEligibility Requirements:\nIn order to be considered for the U.S. Soccer D course\, all candidates must meet the following prerequisites: \n·       At least 16 years of age\n·       Currently coaching or have access to a team\n·       2 Grassroots In-Person Courses (one which is 11v11) + 1 Online course \nOr\n·       U.S. Soccer E License \nCourse Structure:\nOctober 2023 NYS LV D course Opening Meeting (webinar)\n·       Opening Webinar Date: October 16\, 2023\n·       Opening Webinar Time: TBD\n·       October 2023 NYS LV D Opening Webinar Link: Group discussion message in LC communication section. (Need to use Google Chrome or Firefox as your browser for USSF Webinars)\n·       Coaches are expected to have access to a team/players in order to complete the assignments during the course \n  \nVirtual Period:\nThe Virtual Period is the time in between the pre-course meeting\, the on-field component(s) and after the final field component. The Virtual Period will consist of weekly learning opportunities that will feature a mixture of independent learning using online modules\, live virtual meetings led by a licensed U.S. Soccer Instructor and small group meetings that are organized by the coaches. Coaches will be asked to participate in discussions so each person should have access to the internet and a web-camera/live video capabilities. \nThe virtual meetings will take place agreed upon days and times that will be finalized during the pre-course meeting (each instructor group will establish their own meeting times).  See below for more specifics on typical meeting days/times\, as well as the date(s) for the in-person meeting. \nNYSA 2023 National D License – Two in-person course meetings\nOctober 15- December 9\, 2023 – 9 consecutive weeks:\nVirtual Meetings (webinars typically at least once a week and on occasion twice a week) \n§  Times: TBA (typically chosen at 9:00am\, 12 Noon\, or 6:00pm (PST) based upon majority choice/availability of the course attendees) \n  \nOn-Field Component 1 (In-person meeting #1)\n·                Date: November 11-12\, 2023\n·                Location: (Classroom and field TBA in Las Vegas\, Nev.) \nOn-Field Component 2 (In-person meeting #2)\n·              Date: December 2-3\, 2023\n·                Location: (Classroom and field TBA in Las Vegas\, Nev.)\n·                Course finishes December 9\, 2023 \nRefund Policy\nFull payment is required at the time of registration. Any cancellations after October 1\, 2023 will forfeit 100% of their fees unless the candidate is replaced\, then 50% less any non-refundable US Soccer fees are refundable.
