DESCRIPTION:9v9 Blended Grassroots Course Hosted by Nevada Youth Soccer Association\nVirtual Monday September 25 & Field Session Sunday October 1\, 2023\nIn-Person Field Session: Centennial Hills Park \n9v9 Blended Grassroots Course: Virtual Meeting + In-Person Field Session \nVirtual Meeting: Monday September 25\, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm\nIn-Person Field Session: October 1 1:30 pm-3:30 pm \nRegistration closes at 11:59 pm on Sunday\, September 17\, 2023\, or when the course sells out\, whichever occurs first. \nCourse Details: \nThe 9v9 In-Person Course is a four-hour course that builds on the principles covered in U.S. Soccer’s Introduction to Grassroots Coaching Module. Specifically\, coaches will learn more about U.S. Soccer’s Grassroots Coaching Education Philosophy\, Play-Practice-Play Methodology\, the Six Tasks of a Coach\, and the characteristics of players aged 11-12. The course will also ask each coach to reflect on their experiences to develop action steps for personal growth in the Six Tasks (Coaching Games\, Coaching Training Sessions\, Leading the Team\, Leading the Player\, Managing the Performance Environment\, and Leadership). \nCoaches will be asked to participate in discussions so each person must have access to a web-camera/live video capabilities. Coaches may be asked to participate in the field component as either coaches or players\, so please come prepared to actively learn. \nCoaches may be asked to participate in the field component as either coaches or players\, so please come prepared to actively learn. \nEligibility Requirement: \nIn order to register for the 9v9 Blended Course\, candidates must be at least 16 years old* and have completed U.S. Soccer’s Introduction to Grassroots Coaching module.
