The Nevada ODP will focus on developing the player in an environment that challenges their performance standards to enhance overall tactical purpose. From this they can compete to execute at the highest competitive level representing the State of Nevada. The program is designed to provide maximum exposure of Nevada players to college coaches. All player selection, training and coaching will be performed by college coaches.

What is the Olympic Development Program?

The US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program was formed in 1977 to identify a pool of players in each age group from which a National Team will be selected for international competition. As the culture of US Soccer has changed, the ODP Program has evolved to provide opportunities for players to be identified for inclusion in MLS Academies, college recruitmentment and regional and national teams.


Tryouts – July 23-24, 2023

There will be 4 tryout sessions.  Two on July 23 and two on July 24.  You do not have to attend all four, but you are encouraged to do so.  A “Pool Team” will be selected from these sessions.

Team Selection Trials – October TBD

There will be three trial sessions for all pool players to select the ODP Teams for 2025.  You must attend at least one session and are encouraged to attend more. Please let your ODP coach know ASAP if you are a high school player and will have a game over any of these dates. ODP teams and alternates will be selected from these trial sessions,

Training Sessions – Select Team TBD

The select ODP Teams and alternates will have three mandatory training sessions on December 28-29.  

ODP West Regional Championships January 3-6, 2025

Arizona Athletic Grounds 6321 S Ellsworth Rd, Mesa, AZ

ODP teams will compete in a weekend tournament.  This tournament will allow players to showcase their skill to ODP regional coaches who will be selecting players to attend the ODP Camp in the summer of 2025. Attendance is mandatory.

College ID Camp – April 2025

ODP Team members will be invited to attend the Nevada Youth Soccer College Showcase at a significantly reduced cost. Attendance is not required but highly encouraged.

ODP Cost

To participate in Nevada ODP, players should be prepared to pay the following expenses.  All fees are required to be paid before the event.

Tryouts: $80.00

Two Team Training sessions (October and December) $200.00

Cost to participate in Arizona for the Regional Tournament $200.00. This does not include transportation, hotel, food or personal expenses

Spring College ID Camp (Optional)  (50% off for players that signed up to tryouts)

Players born in 







2014 players may tryout for the 2013 team.  Other players may not try out for older teams.  Unless given written permission from Nevada ODP.  Nevada ODP may combine age groups if necessary.  

Dress Code

Players are required to wear black shorts and white socks.  Do NOT wear any shorts or socks that have a club name or logo.  Club backpacks are acceptable.

Players must wear shin guards
